Spindle is a small CNC shop in Brooklyn, New York that was birthed from making loudspeaker enclosures. The machine that is used is a Shop Bot PRS Alpha. It is a highly capable machine for most purposes, while still humble. It is rigid and strong but has no upgrades like tool changers or a vacuum table.
Materials we can cut for you:
- Most plywood types
- Acrylic
- MDF
- Hard woods such as walnut
- Foam
- Soft alloys ( in moderation )
- Plastic blocks for mold making
Plus many more materials including composit and pre veneered stock.
You can submit your design file/s to: General.Inquiries.Spindle@gmail.com
If you need help drawing anything I am fine working from your napkin sketch. That said I will be absolutely careful with what is done and you will need to bless off on the design file. If you need something complex drawn / cut then we are looking at some design charges before the CNC job.
All projects are done using Rhino 7 into V-carve Pro, soon to be Aspire.
To view some of my design, fabrication, and CNC work navigate to www.sloped.systems while it is a small fraction of the amount of architectural and loudpeaker cuts I have done. I have been running this CNC machine pretty solidly for about 2 years, weekends included.

*Do not do what you see me doing here* I memorized the tool path but should have waited to remove the parts.
